THE CALM CLINIC
Welcome to CALM: The Counseling Assistance for Lifestyle Management Clinic
At CALM, we understand that life can be challenging, especially when mental health support feels out of reach. We are committed to providing affordable, accessible care for individuals and families in our community. We focus on opportunity youth—those aged 16-24—and welcome their families, including guardians, siblings, and children (6 years and older), into the healing process. Whether you're seeking individual therapy, group support, or workshops, we are here to help you overcome life's obstacles and achieve your full potential.
WHO WE ARE
At CALM, we are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of our community, especially focusing on opportunity youth and their families. OUR APPROACH
We believe that mental health care should be personal, culturally responsive, and accessible. Our therapy sessions are tailored to the unique experiences and challenges of each client. We use evidence-based practices to help you build resilience, navigate life’s transitions, and create a fulfilling future.
At CALM, we recognize the impact of family, environment, and community on mental health. That’s why we encourage guardians, siblings, and children (6+ years old) to engage in their own therapeutic process, to help foster healing and understanding within families.

WHAT TO EXPECT

If you’re new to therapy, it’s completely normal to feel unsure. At CALM, we’re here to make the process as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Here’s what you can expect during your sessions:
-
Your First Session
-
In the first session, we’ll get to know you by discussing what brought you to therapy and your goals. It’s a time to share your concerns, and we’ll work together to create a plan that fits your needs.
-
-
Therapy Sessions
-
Each session is an opportunity to talk openly with your therapist. They’ll listen, ask questions, and introduce helpful techniques like mindfulness, coping strategies, and problem-solving tools. We may also give you simple exercises to practice outside of therapy.
-
-
Confidential & Empowering
-
Your privacy is our priority. What you share in therapy stays confidential, except in situations of serious risk. You are always in control of your journey, and we encourage you to ask questions or express concerns at any time.

-
Family Involvement
-
For youth and young adults, we can involve family or guardians when appropriate to build a supportive environment for everyone.
